The elementary particle and cosmology division of the Institute for Theoretical Physics at the University of Heidelberg invites applications for postdoctoral positions in theoretical physics.
The positions are expected to be filled in the fall of 2009.
The appointment is for a period of two years.
The elementary particle and cosmology group consists of Profs. A. Hebecker ,  H.-J. Pirner ,  T. Plehn, M. Schmidt ,  C. Wetterich ,  several associated professors, about 10 junior scientists and postdocs and 12 graduate students. The division runs a lively international visitor program. The research covers a wide range of topics in particle theory, including in particular particle-cosmology, supersymmetry and string phenomenology, particle phenomenology, QCD, non-perturbative and non-equilibrium quantum field theory and phase transitions.
