Title: Toward superfluid crystals in spin- and mass-imbalanced Fermi gases

Abstract

Triggered by the search for "exotic” fermion pairing associated with superfluid crystals, spin- and mass-imbalanced Fermi gases have been in the spotlight in recent years, both from the theoretical as well as from the experimental side. A detailed search for such states of matter is challenging as it requires precise computations of correlation functions. Moreover, stochastic methods are needed in the relevant strongly coupled regimes, but such computations are plagued by the infamous sign problem. In this talk, we review some recent progress made in this field, with an emphasis on stochastic computations of ground-state energies and correlation functions. In particular, we discuss the emergence of signals for "exotic" pairing in one-dimensional spin- and mass-imbalanced Fermi gases, and report on progress toward the three-dimensional case.
