Stochastic Gravitational Wave Background and Supersymmetry

I will first review basic phenomenology of the stochastic gravitational wave background (SGWB). I will then discuss how a first order phase transition occurring in the early Universe can generate a SGWB and under which conditions one expect it to be observable at current and future interferometers. In the second part of the talk, I will explore the connection with Beyond the Standard Model theories, focussing on Supersymmetry (SUSY). I will show how SUSY breaking sectors are promising candidates to generate a SGWB through strong first order phase transitions, and how a signal in GW correlates with other experimental probes of SUSY, in particular future colliders.
