Superfluid Condensate Density in Holography and DGPE

Time evolution of the (normalized) superfluid density distribution starting from an initial vortex dipole, as in 'Superfluid density I', supplemented by the vortex trajectories (shown in white). Left in the holographic system, and right in the DGPE. Except for the final (annihilation) stage, the evolution in both theories agrees to high accuary. Initially, we align the vortex dipole horizontally with a separation of 150 grid points in both theories. The results are produced on a 512 x 512 numerical grid for both theories and with 32 collocation points along the additional z-direction in holography. We only show a subregion of the full quadratic x-y grid.
