Time evolution of the (normalized) superfluid density distribution starting from an initial vortex ensemble of 8 randomly distributed (anti-)vortices. Left in the holographic system, and right in the DGPE. In the DGPE simulation we use the parameters obtained from matching the dynamics of a single vortex dipole. Remarkably, the evolution in both theories is in excellent agreement also for the many-vortex configuration. The results are produced on a 512 x 512 numerical grid for both theories and with 32 collocation points along the additional z-direction in holography.
