Dear friends of new physics, Greetings from beautiful Edinburgh! I am not sure if you have heard about this, but due to SUPA we have a pot of money to which we can apply for ultra-mini workshops in town. Last fall we had a lot of fun with some LHC-BSM physics, some information you can find under http://www.ph.ed.ac.uk/~tplehn (go to Happenings). Luigi Del Debbio, Brian Pendleton, David Miller and I though it would be great to apply for a second workshop on Physics with high-dimensional parameter spaces This includes the usual MSSM or whatever parameter extractions. But the discussion should be more general, so we can attempt to harvest some know-how from our lattice friends. Just as in the fall, we would like to invite roughly five external experts to Edinburgh for one week (3/26-3/30). If the SUPA application goes through we could pay for the B&B, plus up to GBP 300 towards travel and at least for postdocs a little money for meals. In a first 3-minute Sunday afternoon brainstorming session I came up with your names as possible candidates. Please tell me if you would in principle be interested and if you would be able to spend that week here in Edinburgh. People from Durham are exclusively not requested to spend the entire week here becauase they whine so much about their teaching load... Once we have a list of people (hopefully soon) I will write an application to SUPA and keep my fingers crossed. But I need names to attach to the application, so our SUPA people know that we are applying for something seriously cool. Aloha Tilman (for the organizers)
