Hey guys, Greetings from sunny Scotland! How is life around the world? As I already discussed with some of you here and there I can in principle apply for some SUPA funding for ultra-mini workshops. Since Dave is going to be hanging out here during the week after 10/30 I am thinking about following Graham's example and organizing something in the middle of the semester. The question is who would be able to come up here for a week. Here is the plan (a carbon copy of Graham's): - gather a good handfull of people who are interested in BSM@LHC - one week stay in Edinbrot - only people who actually do work - possibly one room, a blackboard and bring your laptops - lots of discussion, fun, beer and deep-fried Mars bars - one brief talk a day, possibly blackboard-style, for everyone around - assuming not all of you will be available this time, I'll also ask some students/postdocs, but they are usually more flexible in terms of scheduling If all goes well SUPA will cover local expenses and seriously help with the flight at least for the youngsters. So what do you think? Please tell me off if you are not interested or put yourself on the list for the next round if the timing is not good for you. But please reply if you are interested, so I can submit an application before I vanish to Aspen in a good week. Your registration does not have to be final at this point. All I need is a few names to include in the paperwork. How does that sound? Aloha tilman
