Monthly Lunch Meetings for Women Researchers

We invite all female MSc students, PhD students and fellow researchers participating in the research training group to our monthly lunch meetings. During these meetings we will discuss gender issues such as the challenges women researchers are faced with in their every-day work life. We would appreciate your ideas on how to strengthen the position of women in the world of science and will assist you in your efforts to promote your career.

The meetings are organized by Prof. Stephanie Hansmann-Menzemer and Dr. Monica Dunford.

Speacial Lunch on Unconscious Bias

November 22, 2018 at PI Speaker: Katja Ovchinnikova, a computer scientist working on applications in language processing, robotics, molecular and marine biology, ecology. This year she's participating in the Homeward Bound program intended to build a network of women in STEM sciences. The program focuses on diversity, leadership, and on how to make science serve our planet. Among other aspects, in the program Katja is focusing on the topic of unconscious bias.
